| In the optics section, you may find binoculars, night vision, spotting scopes, telescopes, microscopes, tripods, sunglasses and range finders. Binoculars are (also known as binocular telescopes) two identical or mirror-symmetrical telescopes laying side by side and they both allinged to the same point directly. You can use them with both of your eyes, and they all have different capabilities. Such capabilities are their magnification, objective diameter, field of view, eye relief etc. A telescope is a device which is designed for the obseration of objects are in the long range. There are three types of telescopes; optical telescopes, radio telescopes, and X-Ray & Gamma-Ray telescopes. The name of "telescope" is invented by Galileo Galilei.A microscope is a device that is used for viewing small objects that can not be seen by human eyes. The first microscope was invented in Nederlands in early 1600s. There are many different types of microscopes such as optical, electron, scanning probe, point-projection, acoustic, inverse etc.A spotting scope is a portable telescope. They are rugged or rubber-armoured. There are three types of scope; straight-through, angled, and shoulder-mounted design. Tripods are three-legged objects, which are used as a platform. A Rangefinder is a device that can measure the distance from an object to a viewer. Some of them uses sonar, laser or radar, while some other uses trigonometry to measure the distance. In night vision category, you will find monocular, and binoculars which are capable to see in the dark areas and/or at nights. |
