Drinking Water Gear
Water is essential for life on Earth. Humans can survive without eating for weeks, but without drinking it is just a few days. Drinking water is the water that is consumed by the humans. Water quality is important for the humans because water can contain bacterials and pathogens so that they can cause long-term deseases. Water that is not harmful is called safe water. There are some tests to see whether water is safe or not, and they usually look at the coliform bacteria level of the water. Also there are many elements in water that are important for the human metabolism such as sodium, potassium, cloride, and flouride etc. A human body needs to drink approximately 2 litres of water to be able to replenish the fluids lost through daily physiological activities.Safe water is even more important in camping, since safe water sources that you will be able to reach will be very limited (or even zero) while camping. So you will need many tools with you such as hydration packs, water containers, water treatment tools etc. In this category, you will find those elements that are essential for being with safe water in camping.
